課程概述

This course will cover the following topics:
1. Introduction
2. Antenna Basics
3. The Antenna Family
4. Point Source
5. Array of Point Sources (Phase distribution)
6. Array of Point Sources (Amplitude distribution)
7. Fourier Transform Relation
8. Thin Linear Antennas
(The following sections are optional, depending on our progress.)
9. Loop Antennas
10. End-Fire Antennas
11. Slot and Patch Antennas

This course will employ a flipped classroom (翻轉教室) approach. Before each class, you are required to watch the assigned instructional videos. In class, we will engage in group discussions and presentations related to your hands-on projects. Additionally, this course will be conducted primarily in English. Course materials and in-class lectures will be delivered in English. However, the language you used for in-class discussions and presentations will be adjusted as needed to optimize learning outcomes. 

課程目標
Students taking this course will have in-depth understanding of the working principles and basic parameters of antennas, the fundamental theory, design, and analysis of antenna arrays, antenna measurements, and the radiation mechanisms and performance of some commonly-used antenna types. Last but not least, they will also need to build their own antennas for practical applications.
