課程概述 |
We will cover the following topics: introduction to parallel processing architectures and parallel computing; introduction to GPU-based general-purpose computing; application of parallel computing principles to various application domains. |
課程目標 |
This is a graduate-level course on parallel computing, focusing specifically on the modern massively parallel processors such as nVidia CUDA. We will address the fundamentals of parallel processing architectures and apply them to various high-performance computing applications. Students are expected to be able to implement high-performance algorithms that run on modern massively parallel processors using the principles learned from this course via in-class discussions and term projects. |
課程要求 |
There are no formal prerequisites for this course. However, students without parallel computing backgrounds shall expect extra work to make up the deficit. |
