課程目標
提供磁振造影基礎知識。課程方向偏重工程技術與臨床醫學之跨領域結合。 
課程要求
預修科目:信號與系統,以及電磁學、計算機、電路、傅立葉轉換、數位影像處理、量子物理等方面之基本觀念。

評量方式:作業 40%、期中考30%(含 20% 筆試與 10% 實驗室考試)、期末考 30%。

作業一律於下次上課繳交,遲交一律不收。

For rich students, the "MRI teaching software" (package of 7 individual modules) CD-ROM (running on Macintosh II and above) from the University of Pennsylvania should serve as a good introductory material. 參考書目: S.C. Bushong "Magnetic resonance imaging: physical and biological principles" 2nd Ed., Mosby 1996 (台大醫圖): A nice and fun book for those who know almost nothing about MRI.
T.C. Farrar "Pulse nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy: an introduction to the theory and applications" Farragut 1989 (中研院生醫圖書館): Very good in illustrations of NMR principles and relaxation theories.
F.W. Wehrli, D. Shaw, J.B. Kneeland "Biomedical magnetic resonance imaging: principles, methodology, and applications" VCH 1988 (台大醫圖): Contains good chapters on principles, contrast, contrast agents, bioeffects, etc. Not all are excellent but probably worth buying as an entry-level reference.
E.M. Haacke et al. "Magnetic resonance imaging: Physical principles and sequence design" Wiley-Liss, 1999 (台大總圖與醫圖): Perhaps the first dedicated book on MRI written in the language of physicists and engineers with emphasis on image acquisition techniques. Pretty much up-to-date but perhaps difficult for entry-level students.
D.D. Stark, W.G. Bradley "Magnetic resonance imaging" 3rd Ed., Mosby, 1999 (台大醫圖. 總圖僅 2nd Ed. available): Three big volumes (two for 2nd Ed.) contain good reviews on many important topics in MRI. But in an edited book you know that quality control is difficult.
C.L. Partain et al. "Magnetic resonance imaging" 2nd Ed., Saunders, 1988 (台大總圖與醫圖): Same as #5 above, but is much older and contains very few chapters on newly developed techniques. Good on instrumentation chapters.
