課程概述 |
Course description:This course is an extension beyond Digital Communications 1 and 2 to cover advanced topics in Communications. The primary topics include: the fading process, communication over fading channels, diversity systems, opportunistic systems, multiuser communications, and MIMO techniques. The lecture part focuses on the fundamentals and the principles of communications, while the project part places emphasis on realizations of the concepts.Prerequisites: Digital Communication 1 is required. Digital Communication 2 and Mobile Communications are highly preferred. Adaptive Signal Processing and Information Theory can definitely help you, but are not required. Grading, exam, and homework:Grades will be made up by 10% participation, 30% homework, 30% presentation, and 30% exams. There will be weekly homework following lecture, one final presentation, and two exams. Textbook: Fundamentals of wireless communication, D. Tse and P. ViswanathReference books:Digital communications, J. CioffiMultiuser detection, S.
