VR provides immersive user interaction and experience beyond what's possible with traditional mobile and desktop interfaces. Recent class projects have won 2023 ACM CHI Student Game Design Competition (1st place) and have been featured by ACM SIGGRAPH Blog ( https://blog.siggraph.org/2023/06/the-extraordinary-is-ordinary-in-this-vr-wonderland.html/ )
For this semester, we will focus on combining VR/MR storytelling and game design into a creative experience. There will be self-paced learning of Unity 3D, an inter-disciplinary team project, and lectures on VR storytelling/game design techniques.
Requirement: each student must have access to a VR-ready PC for Unity programming in order to enroll (i.e. NVIDIA GTX1060, AMD Radeon RX460 GPU, or greater).
