課程概述 |
OPTICAL THIN FILMS
• quarter-wave film stacks
• theoretical treatment of thin film
--normal incidence, oblique incidence, admittance diagram
• anti-reflection(AR)and high-reflection(HR) coatings
• narrow band filter
• practical considerations
• applications in light sources, display and communication
OPTICAL INTERFEROMETRY
• basic concepts
--polarization, waves at an interface, coherence
• historical interferometers
--division of wavefront, division of amplitude, multiple beam interference
• common interferometers and their applications
--Twyman-Green, Fizeau,and Sagnac interferometer...
--Analysis of fringes
--practical considerations in using interferometers

課程目標 |
(1) 光學薄膜在光電與半導體各領域中扮演小兵立大功的角色:
從你(妳)戴的眼鏡鏡片上的鍍膜到雷射與晶片製程等等鍍膜。
(2) 光學干涉是檢測微小物理量變化的重要方法之一:
從奈米級長度變化量測到重力波存在的檢測。基本原理+光學微影術上的應用。同時或
修習過光學課程裨益最大。 |
課程要求 |
(1) 成績評量:
期中考(30%)、平時作業(20%)、期末考與期末報告(50%)
(2) 預修課程:無
註:歡迎高年級大學生及碩博士生選修,旁聽需經授課教師同意
