This course is a graduate-level introduction to technical Human Computer Interaction (HCI) research.

The course begins with seminal work on interactive systems, and moves through current and future research areas in interaction techniques and the design, prototyping, and evaluation of user interfaces.

We will focus on user interfaces for wearable devices and mobile devices. Students will:
1) read and discuss both seminal and recent papers.
2) implement interaction techniques using Arduino + sensors.
3) design/prototype/implement/evaluate a new interaction technique.
4) write a short research paper (English, 4-pages) and presentation.
