課程概述 |
This course will survey the international, regional, and national legal frameworks for protection of refugees and other forced migrants. It will focus on refugees from all over the world, with special attention to current crises that have forced people to leave their homelands. In addition to studying the historical background and current application of the international refugee treaties, the course will examine the legal frameworks regarding refugees in four regions: Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Each unit will include legal materials and journalistic reports on current asylum seekers in order to examine both the legal and human dimensions of forced migration.
