課程目標 |
The main goals for this seminar are to explore with you negotiation in the context of client representation, in a reflective and engaging classroom setting. |
課程要求 |
The following are expectations of this seminar:
1. Do the reading before class and be prepared to talk in every class;
2. Participate enthusiastically in the discussion and exercises in every class;
3. Complete all assignments throughout the semester, which include but not limited to the following:
a.Journals
After selected classes, you will be asked to write a short 2-3 page journal entry reflecting on the subject of that class. The journals should demonstrate that you are thinking not just about technical elements of client representation but about theoretical, ethical and moral issues. The journals are due on the last day of class, but I will be happy to review them during the semester to give you feedback.
b. Out-0f-Class Negotiation Assignments
You will regularly be given a homework assignment of conducting an out-of-class negotiation with one of your classmates prior to the next class period. You will be graded not only on your participation in these assignments but on your reflection on the negotiation and how seriously you take the assignment. For each out-of-class negotiation, you will be required to do a short write-up of the negotiation (I will provide you with a template) and you will be expected to discuss the negotiation with the class.
c.Final Project
The final assignment for this course will be a start-to-finish negotiation that you will be required to record and submit to me. You will also be required to critique your own performance in a memo to me. |
