課程概述 |
*This course is taught in Chinese.
*This course is open only to graduate students in life sciences.
*If the class does not reach its full capacity, the course instructor decides how many students to be added and chooses by randomly picking up student IDs among those who want to add this course and show up in the first week.
This course aims to introduce graduate students to the writing of academic journal papers. In-class writing exercises, post-class writing and reading tasks, and take-home assignments will be given to familiarize students with academic writing features such as organizational development. Classroom activity is designed to enhance collaborative learning. |

1. Students identify features of English academic writing and organize their ideas into a logical and coherent text.
2. Students develop critical reading and writing skills.
3. Students recognize the moves and steps in constructing research papers.
4. Students develop proof-reading and self-editing skills.
5. Students make effective written presentations of their work.
