Genetics laboratory organizing several hands-on experiments to introduce methods and analytical tools in genetics. The experiments begin from cytogenetics, transposon tagging, segregation assay, linkage analyses, to molecular genetics. We integrate genetic approaches as mini-project for students collecting and analyzing data. In addition to experimental and analytical skills, students are also require to record their experimental results in details. The ultimate goal for this course is to enhance students ability in independent research and in applying genetic approaches in real world questions.
