本課程針對非以生物化學為主修之學生，使修習者具備基礎生物化學知識。
課程以 Biochemistry, 8th, 2015, by Mary K. Campbell and Shawn O. 章節內容為主體。
授課內容分成： (I) 生化物質構造與酵素催化反應 (II) 生物能量與代謝調控二大部分，並著重『生化生活化』。
授課與考試以講義內容為主，每學期有兩次考試。
