Course Description

Selected topics of current interest in immunology and inflammation will be discussed utilizing recently published papers in the field. A different topic will be covered each meeting to focus on the most recent developments in immunology. 

Course Objective
Students will
1. Learn to evaluate current literature in the field of immunology and inflammation.
2. Learn to pose questions in immunology and develop experimental strategies to produce clear, readily interpretable answers to those questions.
3. Develop their communication skills.
4. Gain a greater understanding of how inflammation contributes to the pathogenesis and biology of immunology-related diseases.  
Course Requirement
1. Each student picks a topic of interest in week 1.
2. Email the selected article(s) and your ABSTRACT to everyone at least one week before his/her presentation.
3. Please rehearsal your talk at least once.
4. The Talk includes 40-45 minutes presentation and 15-20 minutes Q&A.
5. Students also have to ask questions each week.
