課程概述 |
自然史博物館的主要功能為典藏研究與展示動物、植物、微生物，和礦物化石等物件。本課程提供學生在自然史博物館實務學習機會，培育博物館教學、研究、典藏、展示、及文創行銷人才。
課程實習以台大校內的自然史相關博物館，包含植物標本館(班次01)、動物博物館(班次02)、昆蟲標本館(班次03)等為主要實習單位。三個班次的學生在第一堂課會共同上課，並選擇其中兩館做為輪轉安排場域。學生在學期第2-5週需依志願在此兩館進行實習輪轉，並在第六週進行心得報告與下半學期之預計實習題目。期末實習報告可為個人或小組計畫，在學期結束前學生必須依實習報告書進行口頭報告。 |

The primary functions of natural history museums include the collection, research, and exhibition of objects such as animal, plant, and microbial specimens, as well as mineral and fossil samples. This course provides students with practical learning opportunities in natural history museums, aiming to cultivate talents in museum education, research, collections management, exhibitions, and cultural and creative marketing.
The course’s practical training is centered on natural history-related museums within NTU, including the NTU Herbarium (Session 01), Museum of Zoology (Session 02), and NTU Insect Museum (Session 03). Students from all sessions will have a joint class in the first week and select two of the rotation museums. Students will rotate through internships at these two museums, each for two weeks, from Weeks 2-5. In the sixth week, students will need to present a proposal for a specific internship project in the selected museum for the second half of the semester, it could be individual project or a group project. By the end of the semester, students must deliver an oral presentation based on their internship report.

課程要求 |
本課程的設計為博物館實習，且為領域專長「自然史與博物館」之總整課程，故建議學生預先修習「生物多樣性概論/生物多樣性的人文思維」、「演化生物學」、「典藏自然」、「生物科學繪圖」或類似課程，至少修畢三門，或同學期正在修習。實習中並需在課堂上進行一次進度報告。實習結束前，學生應準備書面實習報告，並在期末以口頭方式進行簡報。
The design of this course is on-site exercise in the museum. This course is also the cap-stone course of the specialization program ‘Natural history study and museums’, therefore, taking the following courses (or equivalent) in advantage is encouraged: ‘Introduction to Biodiversity / Science Communication and Biodiversity’, ‘Evolutionary Biology’, ‘Archiving Nature’, and ‘Biological Scientific Illustration’. Students must have taken at least three of the courses above, or taking it/them in current semester. There will be progress reviews during the semester, and the students need to prepare a written report before the end of internship. An oral presentation is required at the end of the semester.
