課程概述	This graduate seminar explores ethnobotany as the study of the dynamic relationships between people and plants. The course begins with a series of invited-lecture–style video discussions featuring leading ethnobotanists, covering topics such as cultural values, museum collections, cross-cultural transmission, and ecological adaptation. These sessions provide a shared foundation and stimulate critical discussion before students embark on their own fieldwork. Following a field visit, the second half of the semester focuses on student presentations of both assigned and self-selected papers, allowing them to apply theoretical and methodological insights to case studies and their own research interests.
課程目標	1. Familiar with the general concept of ethnobotany 2. Familiar the methodology used in ethnobotanical studies 3. Critical reviews on the case studies provided in the class
課程要求	1. Video Discussions (Weeks 1–7): Students are expected to watch the selected ethnobotany lectures before class, participate actively in in-class discussions, and prepare short notes (key takeaways and questions). 2. Fieldwork (Week 8 or 9): A field visit to Ba-do High School, where students will observe and reflect on local ethnobotanical practices. 3. Student Presentations (Weeks 11–16): Each student will present at leasat one paper from recent issues (within the last five years) of major ethnobotany journals.
