課程概述 |
English for Management is a skills-based course designed for students in tertiary education. This course seeks to improve communication skills with a focus on professional English and business acumen. It provides students with the specialized language necessary for effective participation in management and academic scenarios. Students will learn concepts about interview techniques, marketing know-how, business plans, and more. It offers practice and improvement in important management abilities: speaking, writing, reading, and listening. Presentations, group discussions, and class discussions are all common classroom activities. From the perspective of studying English for specific purposes (ESP) and English for academic purposes (EAP), students will gain knowledge of how to conceptualize, practice, and effectively participate in a range of business and academic contexts. |
課程目標 |
1. Students are able to identify, spell, and articulate terminologies commonly used in management.
2. Students are able to write a personal résumé.
3. Students are able to answer questions in an interview.
4. Students are able to work as a group to develop business plans.
5. Students are able to use technological tools to analyze corporate data.
6. Students are able to conduct market research.
7. Students are able to address global management concerns and propose possible solutions with a critical-thinking attitude.
Students are able to deliver management topics as a group in a professional and logical manner. |
