Course Description

This course is open for the students of Smart-MHI program. The main purpose of this internship program is to let students have the opportunities to participate in the healthcare industry
1. Students need to fill out the application form and the agreement form with their supervising professor, and rank their internship preferences. If there is a company they aim to intern at, they should inform the office two months before the start of the semester. The course instructor will contact the company, but there is no guarantee that students will be able to intern there.
2. The internship organizations will be updated annually. Currently, the cooperating companies are BenQ, Cohesion Data, BioSenseTek, Medtronic (Taiwan) Ltd., and Abbott (Taiwan) Ltd.

3. If the internship organization is matched by the International Mentorship Program from OIA NTU, students need to inform their supervising professor of the contact information for the internship organization and mentor. They also need to submit a final report, which will be evaluated by the program director to determine whether it is relevant to the industry and eligible for credit transfer.
4. Please download and fill out the internship application form and the agreement form from the Smart MHI website, and submit them to the office. The office will coordinate with the companies according to the student’s internship preferences.

5. A written and oral report is required at the end of the semester, with no specific format or word limit.
