課程概述 |
This is an asynchronous online learning course and office hour will be provided once or twice a month.
For the epidemiology part, students will be introduced to key concepts and principles of epidemiology, including various study designs, bias, confounding, and effect modification.
For the biostatistics part, this is a fundamental course of basic biostatistics. We will focus on the statistical methodology and data analysis. The course will start with descriptive statistics. Next, students will learn the concepts and definitions of probability and distributions, as well as applications in statistics and in real world. Then, statistical inferences including estimation and hypothesis testing will be introduced. In the office hour, students can ask questions and clarify concepts of online video, and they will learn how to perform statistical analysis through EXCEL. |

Students will be able to understand and apply key concepts of epidemiology in research and critically appraise epidemiological evidence.
Student will learn the basic concepts of statistics and perform statistical analysis through EXCEL correctly. |
