課程概述 |
In this course we will cover issues related to design and analysis of experiments used in psychological research. The goal is to help students develop the following skills and abilities:
(1) Think critically about the application of experimental designs in psychological research;
(2) Understand and apply appropriate statistical analyses for different types of designs.
Topics include issues of NHST and measurement, completely randomized designs, randomized block designs, repeated measures designs, Latin square, hierarchical designs, split-plot designs, analysis of covariance, linear mixed-effects models, etc.
(Note that learning to use computer software as an analytic tool for hypotheses testing is important but is not the main focus of this course.) |
